It’s been a wonderful week of prayer in joining with Anne Graham Lotz for her MAYDAY! MAYDAY! 9 Days of Prayer. If you missed it, you can read each day’s writings she shared with us to lead in our prayer time here.
After writing the post for yesterday’s Jubilee Journey reading for the day, I continued writing an extension of it for you today. But, the Lord stopped me and prompted me to give you this encouragement instead. I’ll save the other post for next Sunday.
Last week was a roller-coaster of emotions for me – from happiness while visiting old friends to deep sadness over another friend’s terminal illness and then shocking news of serious injury to a family member.
Do you ever feel overwhelmed with things when they pile up like that? It felt like ocean waves that just kept coming at me, crashing against me and knocking me down. The pain others are feeling consumes me. Can you relate? Do life circumstances just wear you out sometimes?
How about your life right now? Does it seem like your world is falling apart?
At some point, we all feel that way. Whether it’s from a broken relationship, a lost job, an illness, or something else that has rocked our world, we all have those times in life when we’re filled with despair.
If that describes you today, this song is for you. My prayer is that it will help you rest in God’s care and love. He holds us when we need Him to.
Does the simple thought of God holding you give you comfort? It does me, too.
This gives us comfort, too:
Our King is coming!
I pray you have a spectacular Sunday as we worship our Lord today.
