You may recognize the sled in this wreath from my tablescape from last week – “Deer Sledding in the Snow” Winter Table.
Since HH needed his quilt back, I dismantled the table. I wired the sled, snow-covered pine cones, and pine sprigs onto a vine wreath and added some leftover ribbon from Christmas. I love how the brown and beige in the ribbon help make it not seem Christmas-y. I tied it to look similar to a scarf tied around someone’s neck – someone who would be sledding. 😉
Do you have a small sled? I found this one at Tuesday Morning on Christmas clearance. I hope you run across one cheap (if you don’t already have a sled). They are versatile to use in different ways, different rooms, and different functions. Talk about a multi-purpose decorating piece!
I’m sure you notice the smaller wreath behind the glass. Yes, I still have the Tree Wrap Wreath hanging inside!
The colors coordinate with my home, so why take it down?
I also have the coffee filter wreath from Christmas hanging on my stained glass door in the kitchen. With the polka-dot burlap ribbon, it’s winter-ish, not Christmas-y.
Are you wreath-crazy this year?
Here are a few inspirations – some wreaths you might like to make. Click “Source” under each picture to see the instructions given by the blogger who made the wreath.
An easy Valentine special!
The Plate Addict also made this one for any time of year:
Another wreath for any time of year – and any decor. I love initials! Do you?
Wreaths are cheery and say, “Hello and Welcome!” A wreath displays love to those who enter our homes, with or without hearts on them.
With love in my heart for those who enter, I definitely want to display it! How about you?
