We have many things blooming here this week. I thought it would be fun to show you, week by week, what things are blooming around our farm. Of course, this will be seasonal, since we don’t have much blooming going on during winter.
Welcome to the first What’s Blooming Wednesday! I hope you’ll enjoy this new weekly feature.
Would you please come along with me for a stroll through our yard?
It seems silly, though, to call it a yard.
You saw yesterday (Planting Day Blessings) how wide-open our space is.
It’s not like a neighborhood with homes side by side, yards connecting. Our yard runs right into the horse pasture, our row crops, and the surrounding land tracts of more row crops divided by tree lines.
(Doesn’t this lemon slice flower remind you of a pin wheel? And lemonade?)
We can’t even see another house from here.
But, the neighbors are only a half mile away. They are the best, most kind people you’d ever want for neighbors.
Are your neighbors neighborly? Are you a neighborly neighbor?
I hope you’ve enjoyed this first What’s Blooming Wednesday. Happy day, y’all!
I’m joining several of these parties this week:
