We each are gifted with different talents. What’s your special gift? Some of you are gifted speakers who have an amazing way with words.
I tend to avoid speaking to crowds because when I do, I usually regret it later. Writing gives me time to reflect and be sure of stating things in the way I intend. Although, I occasionally manage to stick my big foot in my mouth, even when writing.
No matter the area of our particular talent, we are to use it for God’s glory. He calls us to use our talents to share Him with others.
Are you vocal about your faith? Do you share by speaking out?
There are many ways we can “speak out”, and we shouldn’t all do it the same way. How boring the world would be if we all shared in the same way! Whatever our area of giftedness, God desires for us to use it in a way that points others to Him.
Uniquely. Specifically. Unashamedly.
If you are called to teach (or preach), you should teach. Not teaching would be a sin.
Do you have the gift of serving others? Serve them with gladness – and share.
Are you an encourager? Encourage others. (Yes, we should share God’s love through our good character traits!)
Do you have a pretty voice? Lead others in singing God’s praises.
Do you have the gift of hospitality? Invite others in – and share.
Are you a prayer warrior? Pray for others. It’s the gift that keeps on giving!
I invite you to join me in praise and worship as we thank the Lord for His gifts…His redemption…His grace…His love.
As we prepare for this coming week, let’s consider new ways we can exalt the Lord. Use gifts and talents that we’ve not used previously to bring glory to God.
He has given us so much! How could we not praise Him openly and share His love with others?
Do any unused talents come to mind? Is God convicting you with thoughts of “shoulds” or “coulds” ?
