Thanks, everyone, for your fun and kind comments yesterday. Mr. and Mrs. Garden Party will be happy to know how much you like their yard of inspiration.
Mrs. Garden Party is on Pinterest, so she may have seen her own decor scrolling through her feed. I hope those Pins made her feel appreciated for her many hours of home and garden labor. You’ll see more Pin-worthy ideas here today, so please feel free to Pin away…
With no further delay, let’s continue our stroll through Mr. and Mrs. Garden Party’s inspiring yard decor.
I realize it’s shameful to say, but HH is on the hunt for a salvaged toilet to complete the theme…ahem. Sorry, HH. That won’t be happening, according to Mrs. Garden Party. (That’s a relief, right ladies?)
Does the thought of a toilet in the yard remind you of The Help? I love that movie! Speaking of which, I’m going to Viking Cooking School later this week. I enrolled in the class called Southern Specialties from Hit Movie “The Help”. HH is ecstatic! Gonna learn to fry chicken like Minny (well, he hopes, anyway – ha).
I. Can. Hardly. Wait!
OK, enough about that for now.
With so many places to sit, how do you choose the perfect spot? Being a church girl, I adore this church pew! Nap, anyone?
Ahem, not that we normally nap in church or anything.
Spread throughout the yard, each grouping is unique and interesting…and fun!
Don’t you love that old shutter?
The antique rocker below is too rickety for sitting. But, isn’t it adorable? The rustic old wood mixed with pillows make a wonderful texture party. Notice the fence in the left background. Are those picture frames? Wow…
And, the door. Did you notice the door?
Of course you did – silly question. 😉
This old fellow is enjoying his cigar. I hope this is the smoking section. Ha!
Over your shoulder to the right, a treasure awaits deep into the rear of the yard.
But, how do we get there? Walk to the right of the bush bed. As you step, look left and down (plus closer view of pagoda).
Look a little closer.
As you step past the bed of perennials, you’ll see the pathway to the left – under the trellis, of course.
Just after walking under, look to your right.
Isn’t it all so lush and lovely?
Once under the pagoda, brace yourself to be completely in awe.
A baby bed transformed…wish I had kept ours. Isn’t it just completely beautiful?
More fun pillows, too!
Across from the baby bed bench, check out the potting table. With the mirror added, it looks like a dresser. Notice the decorative bowl and pots (or cups?) sitting on the shelf to the right. Mrs. Garden Party thinks of everything!
Another New Orleans fence section leans against the potting table, a repeat from the fireplace (Amazing Yard – Part 1). The wicker mirror on the ground reflects more beautiful greenery.
Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Garden Party, for letting us tour your yard. Please let us know when you add something new – another pagoda, or anything, really.
I ask you. Would you think to add these touches to your yard? Do these ideas from Mr. and Mrs. Garden Party’s yard inspire you?
