Happy New Year! How will your today be different from your yesterday?
When discussing New Year’s Eve with our kids on Wednesday, HH and I tried to explain that, to us, it’s just another day. Their strong reply?
No, it isn’t!!!!
Ha…we really know how to push their buttons. (And, they are right in some ways, but please don’t tell them I said so.)
The quote I love, “Begin as you mean to end”, was strongly on my mind this morning as I, with coffee, went to my chair for time alone with God. That’s not a new practice in this new year, but it’s one I commit to continue. I begin as I mean to end – my day and my year.
My next commitment is to hit the computer (not literally) and finalize my post for you on many of the days ahead this year. There are so many things we could discuss today! Where do I begin since there’s so much on my mind regarding the end?
What end do you mean to reach this year? What’s the beginning part of that commitment? Since we can live only one day at a time, what’s the today part of your commitment?
Today is the first day of the rest of our year, so let’s get right down to business with our new community group – making drapery panels. You may doubt it, but sewing panels in five days, 1-2 hours each day, is do-able.
Since we sometimes need extra encouragement, I’m assuming the role of cheerleader and coach. (My pom-poms and whistle are ready for action.)
Whenever you have your fabric purchased and ready to go, you can enroll by clicking the image I promised you yesterday. It’s here in this post, and it’s there in the sidebar, too.
You decide what week you want to sew a set of panels in five days. You. Any week you decide is your week to get it done. Join the Be A Panel Queen group by Thursday the week before, and you’re all set.
I’ve set up the BE A PANEL QUEEN group so that you receive email promptings and instructions of each step along the way of daily tasks. When we break down a large project into littles, it sure is easier to do!
We can add more community groups as we go along. I hope the BE A PANEL QUEEN (BAPQ) group is a good start and helps motivate you to get your projects done. I stand at the ready with pom-poms in hand! 🙂
Next week, you’ll see my regular postings and topics (while still shaking my pom-poms behind the scenes for the BAPQ participants). Have I tired you this week with all the planning for 2016? Can you see the benefits of making priorities, plans, and commitments?
Thank you for beginning your year with me!
I’m sharing this post for a new metamorphosis in your home(with a little cheering to boost you along!) at Metamorphosis Monday.
