I’ve set a table of greens this week. It’s not exactly time for St. Patrick’s Day yet, so this table can be used for all of spring!
And, as a matter of fact, we already did.
We shared it with guests and family the other night after returning home from a marriage conference over the weekend.
While driving to the conference on Friday, I gave HH one of those canned questions,
“What do you hope to get out of this conference?”
As usual, he gave me a comical reply,
“A short list.”
Haha! Who likes to make changes and work on stuff? Anyone?
We’ve never attended a marriage conference, but we had a great time. The speakers gave us some good stuff to discuss.
All in all, we didn’t come away with a list at all. You may be wondering if we were listening!
It was fairly good confirmation that we’re doing OK. (Hear the big “Whew” in the background? That’s HH’s sigh of relief coming from his office. Haha! He’s silently giddy that he escaped with no list!)
God did that. Otherwise, we’d have botched it up if left on our own!
I found these herb bread and butters at Tuesday Morning recently.
I love herbs!
I found the lettuce plates at Tuesday Morning, as well.
I couldn’t resist them while shopping the after-Christmas clearance sale.
I know! My buggy just automatically drove itself to the NON-clearance dish section!
This table was mostly inspired by the Numbered Planters DIY for Spring. I looked for shamrock plants (thinking of old St. Patrick!) at WalMart last week but only found these soon-to-be tulips.
Dannon™ Yogurt containers with holes punched in the bottom are the perfect size for these planters.
To hide the rims, I cut strips of burlap scraps and stuffed them between the pot edges and plastic rims.
If my house was completely organized, I’d have found the moss I knew I had somewhere – and found later. Of. Course.
After completing my post pictures, I continued to re-arrange the pots for different looks. I think this will wind up on a porch at some point. 🙂
That playing around was before Friday morning when I no longer could access my website. Yep. It’s been on lock-down. I’ve spent four days (in and around life at the marriage conference) trying to solve the problem.
God does answer prayer. You know that, right? This morning was a huge confirmation of it, and you see the results since I was able to finally finish this post and get it published.
After all my efforts (to no avail), HH came to my rescue to get to the bottom of it. He reminds me often that he is The It in I.T. (for me, at least). Ha!
Who handles your I.T. issues? Please tell me I’m not the only one who has I.T. issues!
March blessings, everyone~
I’m sharing this table with Tablescape Thursday.
