A tablescape of late summer flowers combined with early fall vegetables gathers all the season’s goodness in our mid-September South.
The pastel tablecloth is filled with pumpkins, gourds, and green leafy fall flower blooms.
I combined our most-used stems of charcoal and green from Dollar Tree.
Black dinner plates called out to me to bring out the hints of black on the salad and bread plates. With such a light tablecloth, I fought the temptation at first. White plates were too muted and nothing stood out.
After relenting for a trial with the black, I was smitten. I’m such a sucker for sharp contrast. Are you?
The teak handle bronze ware was a must with the black Dollar Tree plates. Did I mention how much I adore the deals at Dollar Tree?
I found these sunflower bread and butters at a thrift store for nearly nothing.
The sunflower salad plates were on clearance last year at Hobby Lobby. How could I resist?
The charger shade of green is one of my favorites – lime with a little shimmer. I found them on clearance at Michael’s while on our beach trip for less than 50 cents. I bought all they had and plan to paint or mod podge sets of different colors and textures.
I placed the sunflower salad plates over blue for my Tablescape of Sunflowers earlier this summer.
Last year’s sweater and shirt sleeve pumpkins are making their first appearance for this year.
They were very easy and such fun to make!
A set of six votive candles from T. J. Maxx adds sparkle to the table, along with the pillar set among stones. The votive candles looked sharp lined around green apples two years ago in my post to “Fall” into Table Decor and Inspiration.
I bought green apples at the grocery the other day. My wheels are turning for what I’ll do with them this year. The weather’s very nice today, so I plan to set the patio table this afternoon.
Friends from Texas are visiting tonight, so we’ll either eat here in the dining room or outside. With both tables set, it’ll be their choice. I really love that! 🙂
Which would you choose…eating inside or out on the patio? Are things cooling off nicely at your house?
I’m sharing at Tablescape Thursday. Join us! 🙂
