Sparkly Pumpkins for Fall Dining

How I wanted to take pictures of this table at sunset!

Sparkly Pumpkins Table

Can you imagine it with candles aglow?  These DIY Mercury Glass Vases would provide the perfect reflective glow, don’t you think?

Candled Center Collection

As usual, the schedule of my real life took priority over my virtual life.  Notice the sun is out and the day is young.  With a commitment scheduled for late in the day, sunset pictures were not to be.

Place Setting

Sometimes I wish I had nothing else to do but set tables, sew, paint, or hot glue something – all day long, with nothing to take me away.

Plate Stack

I could get lost in the processes of taking and editing photos, leisurely writing posts, and communicating with you more on social media.

But, that’s not my life.  That’s not real  life.  God knows how I could become a hermit in my home…blogging consuming my life.  But that wouldn’t be healthy.

Glittery Pumpkin Decor

Besides, I love people.  That’s why I’m here with you, and that’s why I’m often with others, doing real things with real people.  Both are huge blessings.

Not that you’re not real, because you are!  But our friendship is virtual.  That makes me a little sad.  Does it for you, too?  I’d love to throw a party and invite you all and see you face-to-face.  Wouldn’t that be a blast?

I’m so thankful for you…and them…my life, my commitments.  Do you feel thankful?

Gleaming Pumpkins at Sunset

What’s your favorite way to spend time between commitments?  Does it involve people?  Real people or virtual friends?  (Or, both?)

I love this, another table setting. Girl, I know you have a big house but I’ve wondered how much storage space you have for dishes and table settings. ha. I saw the leaf plates in WM the other day and thought of you.

Thank you, Mrs. Criddle. Ha! Well, the kids moved out and provided some empty closet space…plus the pantry doesn’t require as much food space now with only two of us, so dishes are in the pantry now, too. 🙂

It is amazing how blogging connects us with so many people who we will never meet face to face which is why it’s so important to do all those things that keep real relationships intact. Like you, I could spend a lot more time in front of the computer, but that’s not the way I choose to live.

Such a beautiful setting, no matter what time of day. The colors you have used together are stunning. It really would be a fun change to be able to just do tablescapes, crafts, etc… Wouldn’t it? Anyway, what you have done here is absolutely beautiful!

I agree with what you say about if you had your way you could spend your whole day creating things, but that just isn’t real! My last post was the first one in months because Real life became much more important. Your table looks great, I love your plate stack and love the setting.

Kim, such a beautiful table that you have set! How I would love to meet you, along with other blogging friends! It has been hard for me to learn the balance of blogging and what is most important! Still being a relatively new blogger, it takes time to find your way! Wishing you a lovely Friday!

Thank you, Pam! Yes, we would have so much to discuss! Only recently have I (sort of) found a sweet spot for timing of things. It is such a delicate balance because we don’t go to an office to do our work and are interrupted throughout the day a bazillion times. But, it’s so nice to have the flexibility. Happy Friday to you, too!

I agree about the friendships. I’ve made some great blogging friends…people I’ve never met in person. That’s such a bonus. Happy weekend, my blogging friend!

At first this table looks simple! The table really has a lot of detail with the layers of plates amd the dirrerent linens. The ramkin turned upside down to display the sparkly pumpkin is great and I have ramkins to use, too! The orange swill plate is the perfect way to accent your stack! Fabulous job with all the sparkle!
Please, pop over and view my post this week!
    Have a great week!
