Shh…. Can you keep a secret?
This is Carrot Patch Pete.
He thinks he’s the inspiration for this table.
Truth be told, it was these orange plates I found on clearance at HobLob that inspired the plan.
Oddly, I covered them with the Bordallo Pinneiro carrot plates (from T. J. Maxx many years ago).
These plates and matching platter are staples around here at Easter time each year, and they’re a nice addition for Carrot Patch Pete’s table (wink). Nothing goes better with bunnies than carrots!
Dollar Tree has these carrot chocolate crisp candies.
Their path attracts more bunnies to the table of veggies.
Meet Flopsy, who loves to eat broccoli and cabbage.
This is Flopsy’s friend that loves asparagus. They both like chocolate carrots, too – oh, and caramel eggs also found at Dollar Tree.
This is the bunny you saw joining the Bunnies at Breakfast over on the linen chest.
He’s the luckiest of all with a load of carrots (topped with parsley) in his pot.
There are plenty of veggies for everyone.
One last look at the entire table before I show you what happened next.
I left the kitchen briefly, and look what I found when I returned.
Clean as a whistle except for one chocolate crunch carrot.
So, the question is…did Carrot Patch Pete sneak over and help with the clean-up? Strange, I don’t see him anywhere. Is he ashamed and hiding?
I’m sharing this table at Tablescape Thursday. Join in on the fun!
