Good morning! I just realized a few minutes ago that I’ve published 600 posts. Wow, that happened quickly! Here we go for #601. 🙂
In honor of National Farm House Breakfast Week, I’ve set a totally Southern farm/country table. Come on in and pull up a chair!
The minute I spread some tea towels, the chickens and roosters gathered ’round. Remember the White family – Egg, Snow, and Bob?
Did they wake you? Pox and Joseph (coat of many colors) stand guard over everything while we gather. (Cluck-cluck.)
All that cock-a-doodle-doo business gets crazy. Not to be outdone, the yet-to-be-named watering hen rounds out the trio.
The places are set.
French country dinners over white for contrast.
Topped with French lavender bread plates like my grandmother owned.
Remember that cool story about finding this set of china like hers?
Such a fun memory.
I’m still in awe over it. And thankful, too.
Just for fun, each setting includes individual milk bottles – for drinking or for pouring over cereal. (Hurry…the sun is rising over our table,)
The large bottle is ready for refills.
You probably didn’t notice, but something’s different in my kitchen.
I’ll show you again. Did you notice it in this picture?
The French shelf is gone. Yes, it’s totally farm-house, but I’m in the process of giving it a new look.
stole bought this print while antique shopping with PAM and HBD not too long ago. It was upstairs waiting to be hung in the nostalgia room.
It was a great solution to cover the exposed nails in the wall while I paint the shelf. I have so much to show you – things I’ve been painting (when I should be sewing curtains!).
Dr. Oz had a man on his show yesterday (yes, Mr. TV keeps me company while I paint in the kitchen), and he listed the symptoms of ADHD. Oh, no! He talked about not finishing projects and basically twirling, which I do every day. Guilty as charged.
How is that related to a farm house breakfast?
It’s not. (Point made again.)
Do you like to combine different dish patterns? Do you paint (and repaint) in your kitchen and then
hide your mess clean up for breakfast guests? Come on, am I really the only one?
I’m sharing this post at Tablescape Thursday. Join us, y’all!
