Welcome to February! Since Valentine’s Day is only a couple of weeks away, I want to share a sweet treat consisting of
c h o c o l a t e
peanut butter cups
and a little poof of creamy coffee frosting.
Many years ago at Christmas, I started making peanut butter cookies with a Reese’s™ cup tucked inside. They accompanied me to many a neighborhood Christmas cookie exchange party. Did you make these, too?
Today, I propose an addition – a way to kick it up a notch!
Remember how we bought peanut butter cookie dough and sliced, quartered, and then rolled the dough into balls?
We baked them in tiny muffin tins.
Bake according to the cookie package directions. While baking, remove bite-size Reese’s cups from the paper wrappers.
After removing baked cookie dough from oven, quickly press a Reese’s cup into each cookie cup.
Let them cool completely, then top each cup with coffee flavored frosting (from the squirt can). Don’t they look delicious? They are!
They make a good Valentine’s Day presentation, and an even better impression on your taste buds.
I made some of these around Christmas time. Everyone in this household devoured them!
Do you like the combo of chocolate and peanut butter? Can you imagine the decadence of combining it with coffee flavor?
For more fun, I’m sharing at Metamorphosis Monday.
