The WordPress blogging and website platform is a wonderful thing. Along with many other benefits, they provide a report at the end of each year with some interesting statistics about each site.
Most visitors to my blog were from the U.S., of course, but Canada and the UK were a close second. In total, people from 160 different countries visited my site from around the globe.
The “most popular posts” results are always a little surprising to me. Bloggers regularly discuss how the posts they think will be a big hit aren’t the ones that get much attention. I thought you might be interested in which posts were the most popular during 2015.
The most popular post on the day with the highest traffic to my site was the Burlap Chargers DIY.
But that post didn’t make it into the top five. The fifth most popular post was the Hymn Book Christmas Angel that I published in my first month of blogging. The continued popularity of that post is definitely a surprise to me. These angels do make wonderful gifts!
The fourth most popular post was from December of 2013 – Hanging Plumber’s Pipe Curtain Rods. Since plumber’s pipe rods are fairly popular, this post’s ranking doesn’t surprise me all that much.
This one does surprise me, though. The third most popular post is one where I shared my Tips for Painting Rocking Chairs on our front porch.
The tutorial for “Stringing” Any Roman Shade came in second, which isn’t that surprising. Anyone making Roman shades can use a few reminders for stringing them.
The most popular post for 2015 was the Pillow Shams With a “No-Flop” Flange. It seems that I’m not the only one who hates a flange that won’t stand up to the test.
Thank you all for following along, encouraging me, laughing with (at?) me, and letting me get to know you through your very kind comments. I do appreciate you so!
I wonder what 2016 will hold. Will the Hymn Book Christmas Angel stand strong in popularity for another year?
