Are you intimidated when you read Proverbs 31? Any woman who can do all those things is sheer perfection, in my book!
As I read all about the rising early, the spinning and weaving, the clothes of fine linen she’s made , how does she also cloth herself with strength and dignity?
And, her children rise and call her blessed, no less.
If that’s really what we’re supposed to be, how do we handle the pressure? It’s daunting!
How can we do all of these things every day of our lives?
This is just my opinion, but I don’t think we can. These verses inspire us to NOT be lazy, but to work hard and smart, to honor our families by taking proper care of them and our households.
We can’t follow all these Proverbs 31 examples all at the same time. But, throughout our lives, we can accomplish them (or, at least close to it).
When we have young children, our main hands-on project is caring for our children’s needs, not weaving. But, later in life, there is time for weaving.
Here’s a fun video that’ll make you feel a lot better about how you handle your life. 🙂
I believe God wants us to do the best we can do at whatever stage of life we’re in, seek Him in all we do, and not stress about what we’re NOT doing.
Have a happy and blessed Spectacular Sunday, y’all. Praise God from Whom all blessings flow…
(No stress, so relax, remember? It’s the holy sabbath, our day of rest.)
