Navy, White, and Green (Apple) Tablescape – Surprised?

When I see blue and green together, my heart does a happy dance.  After my Green Apples Aloft tablescape two weeks ago, I couldn’t resist paring green apples with navy and white.

I’m sure you’re not all that surprised!  It’s unconventional, I know (wink).

Last week’s blue for fall (Leaves Fall-ing on the Table) was such a hit, why not do more blue?  I’ll have autumn orange next week, for sure!

Seated View

Confession time:  the picture above is telling on me.  Hay was on the ground, just as you saw in previous posts.

On this fine-weather day, I had a table-setting marathon.  It was a three-tables-in-one day, and next week’s table with orange will be the final of the three.

The dinner plate and paisley napkins bring green to the plate area.

Place Setting

Green and navy napkins are separated by the Lace-Trimmed Napkins I made last year from men’s handkerchiefs at Wal-Mart.

Dainty lacy loop trim along the edge speaks Victorian, as does the toille table-cloth.

The blue and white cheese keeper from Mom 2 will always remain a favorite.

Cheese Keeper

For those of you who don’t know Mom 2, she’s a close family friend who constantly through the years endured my presence at their house, my feet under her table, and a few teenage pranks along the way.  (I’m hoping my secrets are safe with her!)

The soup tureen keeps apples from rolling away.

Navy, White, and Green Apples

PAM (Painter Artist Mom) shared this salt and pepper set with me.  I love pitchers of any type.  The blue apple plate has been around for years – so long that I don’t remember the source.  (Probably a T.J. Maxx steal/deal from long ago.  TJM and I go waaay back.)

Victorian S&P's

The apple plate decorated our plate shelf for the month of September and so far this month, too.  Of course, a few green apples are in the mix.

The tea towel gives me a hearty laugh each day!  HH’s mother asked on a recent visit (ahem) just who I was referring to here.  Did you know that more laughter is sometimes the best answer (wink)?

Tea Towel Entertainment

I’ll soon change everything over for the remainder of October…gathering some orange tones in honor of Halloween and fall festivities.

Are you as crazy for navy and apple green as I am?  Does it make your heart sing?  (Or are you just plain crazy and we should parade you on the front porch with a sweet tea? Ha!)

Thank you, Pam. Another confession: the toile is actually a piece of yardage. I’d planned to make place mats and napkins, but you know how the time goes by. I should just go ahead and finish the edges and use it as a table cloth permanently. Maybe it’s even large enough for the two of us to split it! 🙂

Love the color combination…very fresh looking. The tea towel is so cute. Did you get the whole set from Amazon?

Thank you. I bought the tea towel in the gift shop at a local tea room. Thanks for the heads-up. Looks like I need to check out that set on Amazon!

I love your table. The colors are wonderful together. Where did you ever find those tea towels? Love them.

Hi Kim, Your tablescape is lovely and so inviting! My favorite is the Blue Toile tablecloth, and I have a special place in my heart for Roosters! =) I wouldn’t mind a big glass of sweet tea, to enjoy with that view!
    Have a fun week!
