I thought maybe I should share these Facebook Live videos for those of you who aren’t on Facebook often 0r on Facebook at all. Facebook has gotten very stingy with sharing things with my readers. So, we’ll just take matters into our own hands!
MEASURING WINDOWS FOR MAKING CURTAINS
Before sewing drapery panels, measuring your windows thoroughly is a necessity. Sometimes it’s hard to manage measuring long distances.
This video has some tips to make measuring easier. For some unknown reason, the bottom half of the video is cut in half. You can’t completely see what I’m referring to when discussing measurements to the floor. Hopefully, you get the idea from what I say here.
Did you laugh when I called the window casing “crown molding”? That’s the thing about Facebook Live videos. You can’t go back and edit out mistakes or blunders we mindlessly say on video!
HOW TO HANG CURTAIN RODS WITHOUT ASSISTANCE
I’m a big proponent of doing things on my own. I hate to interrupt HH while he works, pestering him with my menial tasks. 😉 So, over the years, I’ve developed a technique for hanging long pole rods by myself. If you don’t have someone to help you (or you don’t want to wait), this is for you!
Are you getting brave? Are you confident that you can hang long poles by yourself? I hope so, because it is totally doable!
What are your experiences with hanging poles? Anything laughable? Or, maybe you have a real ARGH! moment – like the time I was hanging curtains at a neighbor’s house in Georgia. I hit some sort of metal plate behind the sheetrock, and the screw would not go in! We had to totally re-think that treatment.
Ah, the challenges….
Did I give you any new tips you can use? Do you have other techniques to share that you use for hanging rods?
