Do you have a bench you’d like to prep for fall? Want to do ours together?
After outfitting Spunky Daughter and Fun Son with hello, fall decor on their apartment door,…
…SD said she’d love a bench for their little covered entry. Hmm…I have just the thing.
You probably didn’t notice the painter’s bench over to the side of the back porch during summer, but not to worry. SD didn’t, either! I kept it fairly hidden behind the chair and end table there.
After setting the Bedspread of Blue Into a Tablescape for You, I moved some items over for a fall bench test area.
That bench needs a new coating of paint! Oh, well…I may never see it again at my house, anyway! (SD can do that – ha!)
I’m sure you noticed the ever-present butternut squash. 🙂
I worked very hard at finding and sweeping fallen leaves around the bench for a fall effect. Ha! Leaves are scarce here at Hoodmanor, but SD has plenty at their front door. Those two kids never sweep.
Nothing like a bench test to free up a little porch space!
After loading the bench into SD’s car late last week, the hydrangea blooms and squash found another new home.
It’s nice to have plenty of porch sittin’ spots for enjoying cooler temperatures!
Another crochet throw, thanks to my late grandmother Bradley!
Do you have treasures from your grandparents scattered throughout your home? Have you ever thought to use them on porches?
