How to Farmhouse Style Your July Fourth Table

Now that it’s so hot outside, we’re eating our meals indoors.  We had a nice long spring of extended cool weather this year, but that’s over now.

Over the weekend, I set a table for breakfast with July 4th in mind.

July Fourth Farmhouse Breakfast

What’s on the menu?  You got it.  Biscuits and blueberry syrup.  It’s fun to match the food with the table!

We welcome all farm foul to the table’s center collection.

Coffee and juice are offered, too.

If the morning is cool, open the door and let the sun shine in.

It’s too hot, though, so we closed the door quickly.

Red, white and blue flowers bring cheer to the side table.

You’ve seen them all in our yard…coral Geranium, white Crepe Myrtle, and blue Hydrangea blooms.

Use whatever you have…my #1 motto.

As it turned out, we ate lunch at this table rather than saving it for breakfast on the fourth.  Fun Son and Spunky Daughter surprised us and grilled hamburgers for us as a belated Father’s Day family celebration on Saturday.  I love it when they take charge!  🙂

I hope you have special plans for the Fourth.  Do you have a long weekend – maybe with extra time off on Monday?  Won’t that be grand?

Blessings~

Kim, love, love, love your patriotic Tablescape! I am so glad your son and daughter came for a belated Father’s Day celebration! It is so hot and dry here, rain all around but not any at our house. I have had internet problems for several days, just the minor frustrations of everyday living! Blessings and stay cool!

Thanks, Pam. It gets harder all the time to get together – with all of our different schedules, and HH and I are gone a lot during summer. I’m sorry you haven’t had rain. Every summer, we watch huge beautiful clouds get to us and split apart just before coming over us. It’s the strangest thing! Even with our worries, God provides just what the crops need. They turn out healthy just from what they get from the dew. Our kids call us the weather nerds because we’re always keeping track of the rain – or lack of it. Are y’all that way, too?

I LOVE those chicken napkin rings Kim! It’s so farmhouse adorable!!! Your Blueberry syrup is on our menu for the 4th weekend, now, if you could just send me some of your homemade biscuits 🙂

I found those rings in an antique booth, and I think they’re not all that old. But, they are fun. 🙂 I’m so glad your family enjoys the blueberry syrup. I’ll be glad to visit and make biscuits. 🙂

I love this Kim and it’s wonderful that you got to share it with your kids. I like the mix of chickens and milk bottles- definitely a farmhouse look! Loving the plate combo you chose too. My husband would be drooling if he saw the blueberry syrup and biscuits! I hope are having a great holiday weekend! So far ours is fantastic with sunny skies and dry temps! Happy 4th!
