Do you enjoy watermelon? Do you struggle with cutting the meat from the rind?
I made a video for you last week as I cut the watermelon for my “Not Going to the Beach” Tablescape post. I’m not claiming to know any secrets that require a double-hand-shake, pinky promise, or code silence…just the way I do it. It’s that simple.
Someone mentioned a while back that they don’t eat pineapple because it’s hard to cut, and they don’t want to fool with it. I thought right then…
I should show a video on how I cut pineapple…to show how easy it can be.
We haven’t eaten any pineapple since that comment, but it occurred to me that some of you might like to see a really easy way to cut watermelon. I hope you find it helpful.
Don’t worry, though. You won’t hurt my feelings if you continue cutting it your way. We all should use the way we like best – the easiest way not to cut off a hand! Ha.
My video turned out a little blurry, so I first thought not to publish it. But…I decided it’s clear enough for you to get the idea. I slowed the speed during the first wedge-cutting part so you can see it more clearly.
You may have a nifty way of cutting watermelon – better than my way, even. Please share your way in the comments below. How do you cut watermelon?
