You know by my green apple tablescape posts, Green Applies Aloft and Navy, White, and Green (Apple), that I’m experiencing a severe addiction to green apples. Not only for decorating, but also for eating.
Notice how the white bowl on the table is empty. It was full just a short while ago.
Since buying a five-pound bag of smaller-sized Granny Smith apples, each day now begins with anticipation as I prepare this fall breakfast.
Chop half a green apple into small pieces and divide them into 2 bowls. Yes, we’re sharing. 🙂
Fill with 1/4 to 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt, and then top with granola cereal. I like to stir mine around and drown everything in the yogurt. Yum!
The granola cereal attraction started when I found this Quaker Oats brand cereal for a dollar cheaper than regular granola. Real Medleys.
Of the two Real Medleys flavors, this one is my favorite.
The cereal flakes are coated with something that makes them more dense and crunchy. And, the clumps of granola are huge. Quaker isn’t paying me to promote their cereal, but I promise this cereal is way better than plain ol’ granola.
I keep it in a jar on my counter for quick access. (Almost time for another box! I buy them in twos these days.)
The other night, HH and I stayed up late and watched episode after episode of Blue Bloods. (We love clean TV and are completely happy that We Cut the Cord.)
During our marathon, I became really hungry. So, I ran to the kitchen for a snack – or early breakfast? Ha!
Do you eat breakfast for midnight snacks? Do you like granola cereal?
