And Yet…I Won (A Desire of My Heart)!

You may have noticed I’ve changed my blog design several times.  I’ve struggled with the design and achieving the look that I envision.

Since God led me to start this blog, I left it all up to Him.  He knows the desires of my heart, so I’ve prayed for Him to guide me in this area.  Today I want to share how He is answering my prayer.

Two weeks ago, while writing my Sunday morning post, I quickly checked my emails and found I’d received one from Tanya at Blogelina.  You might remember me telling you about Blogelina’s Blogger’s Night Out event.  Every hour Blogelina shared informative blogging articles and gave opportunities for readers to sign up for terrific giveaways.

It’s amazing how God worked it so that I opened the email while I was literally in the middle of writing about the event.  He has a wonderful sense of humor!

After reading Tanya’s email, I could barely contain myself!   I wanted very much to spill the beans completely that morning about my big news.  It is a huge answer to prayer.

Oh, I’m sorry.  I haven’t told you the news yet.  OK  here it is.

I won one of Blogelina’s “Build Your Own Custom Blog Design” Services!  For free!

It’s supposed to happen early this week (maybe tomorrow), and I have no idea what it will look like exactly.  I chose the theme, the layout, made a few color choices…and the rest is up to her.

Since Tanya at Blogelina is the teacher and professional guru of all things blogging, I can hardly wait.

Sometimes the Lord has wonderful surprises in store for us – if we’ll only be patient while we delight ourselves in Him.  As Psalm 34:7 says, if we will delight ourselves in the Lord, He will give us the desires of our heart.  He keeps His promises.  He is faithful.

The chorus to a hymn is running through my mind this morning.  I’m singing along inside my head…

Praise Him! Praise Him!  Tell of His excellent greatness;  Praise Him!  Praise Him!  Ever in joyful song!

I am thankful, joyful, and singing His praises as I head off to church with a big grin of anticipation today.

I pray you’ve had evidence of answered prayers in your life.

Promises kept.

Blessings that build your faith.

Have a spectacular Sunday!

Thank you, Diane. Please let me know if you get this response by email. I had to change things a little. Again. :-/ Anyway, I haven’t heard anything yet, but soon, I hope to have the new design. 🙂

Kim: Was worried about you when I didn’t have your Sunday posts in my email. Is there something I need to change/add, etc. I always want to hear what’s going on in your neck of the woods.

Rhonda, I’m very sorry about that! I changed a setting to allow something else to work properly, and I didn’t realize until after Sunday’s post that I had eliminated my email subscriber capabilities. I wasn’t sure if my subscribers got Sunday’s post, so thanks for telling me! Everyone should get posts in their email from now on. (No more changes.) 🙂
