Fireside Table for Two

Do you sometimes eat by the fireplace?  Do you drag up a small table and a couple of chairs?

I’ve wanted to do this for a while.

Winter Table for Two

It’s finally cold enough.

Dinner's Ready

While soup simmers, a tune plays in my mind.

Soup Turrine

Yes, the weather outside is frightful!

And the fire is so delightful.  🙂

Place Setting by the Fire

OK, well, we can stop before we get to the next verse.  Our frightful weather doesn’t include snow.

But, it’s so bitterly cold!

Canning Jar Candles

Don’t ask me to step outside.  😉

Fireside Table for Two

I’ll stay right here – grateful, warming by the fire…gazing out, but oh, so cozy in.

Is it snowing at your house?  Are you cuddled by the fire?

Your setting, indeed, looks very cozy. 🙂 82 degrees here today. We took a beautiful evening walk. Enjoy your fireplace!

OK, I’m officially jealous. We were in Miami last week when it was 85 degrees…makes this big chill that much chillier! 🙂 Enjoy your warm weather.

Love it! I guess “cozy” is the word for today! I would love to have a fireplace! Yes, it is cold and windy! Love the mason jars and the centerpiece; in what looks to be a library card file drawer? How unique and who knew celery could look so good. I love the use of wooden boxes as a base for centerpieces. When I go to find one, I always come home empty handed…. I’m determine to find one! Another blog friend Tablescapes at table twentyone, also used one recently and I really liked it too. Cozy, cozy…love it.

    What warmth!
I ABHOR winter. I can hardly believe I was a January baby.
When my 3rd child, 2nd daughter was born, my SIL, Carmen called her “a little bit of summer in the middle of winter!” She’s 21 today. Her name is Summer Magdalene. Her middle name is my grandmother’s. (Hers was Sallye.)
