I received this notification from PillowCubes yesterday.
Major Update This Week:
We NOW sell pillows individually and NOT BY THE CASE!
Here is what PillowCubes says about the changes:
This week we made a major change to our website and business model. Instead of selling our pillows by the case, we are testing out selling them as individual singles. These are the same pillows with exactly the same price per pillow as our case pricing except you can buy the exact number you need at any time!
Many of you told us you loved our prices and quality but didn’t have a need for extras or only wanted a few at a time.
If you need pillow inserts, take advantage of our singles pricing and order exactly what you need!
Now, THAT is a company that puts customers first!
In my PillowCubes review post last week, I mentioned that I planned to order a cube of inserts for a few pillow projects. Well, I did just that. After ordering on Wednesday, I was totally surprised to receive my cube Friday morning. Wow, right?
I did not pay extra for 2-day shipping, but that’s the great service I received. I took pictures while opening the box so I could share with you what to expect. I ordered a cube of seven 22″ x 22″ inserts. See how they fit all vacuum-packed inside the cube?
The forms are very flat with the vacuum seal intact, but once you open the bag…
the pillow is nice and puffy. 🙂
Let’s see the comparison with the pillows I plan to refill alongside the new inserts.
Since the PillowCubes website has changed quite a bit due to their responsiveness to customer needs, they now show the price per insert rather than the cube pricing. I think you’ll agree their pricing is awesome!
To test the new ordering process, I immediately ordered three of the 12″ x 16″ size, which formerly sold as a cube of 20. I had wanted a few of that size but certainly not 20, nor did I have enough friends to share 20 with me!
My price per pillow with shipping was right about $10. I think PillowCubes* just made the smartest choice ever by changing things for us. Don’t you?
I’ll keep you posted on the three I ordered, how they arrive (packaging-wise) and how quickly.
Follow this link to PillowCubes* and let me know what you think about their changes. I’ll pass along your comments since they so obviously care about customer opinion.
Due to the awesome news from PillowCubes yesterday, I’ll share more pillow posts immediately – tutorials for adding an applique to a pillow and for sewing rope cording around the edge.
With each post, I’ll update you on what’s happening at PillowCubes.com*.
Are you excited about these changes at PillowCubes? Don’t you think they’re wise?
