Are you ready for fall? Once again, I’m facing a new season, and
I’m. NOT. Ready.
To help me (and hopefully you) get motivated for fall treats and projects, I decided to post a round-up of some Acorn favorites.
First things first: the front door, of course. I love this Fall Wreath with Acorns by Vanessa at Tried and True. I wonder…does Hobby Lobby sell acorns in bulk?
Here’s a fun and whimsical look for a fall door. It’s not a DIY project but for sale on Etsy. Follow the image source link if you’re interest in a purchase, which I’m not necessarily recommending. I don’t know this Etsy seller, but I found her acorn on Pinterest. I think it’s really cute!
Anything made with Hershey Kisses™ is full of chocolaty delicious-ness. Check out Holly’s Adorable Acorn Treats to Make This Fall by The Coconut Head’s Survival Guide. Kids (small and large) will be sneaking these cuties!
Nothing is better than burlap and re-purposed pine cones!
I can feel myself even closer to some Fall crafty mojo! You, too?
I got a little jump ahead while gathering information for this post. Those Hershey Kiss acorns were so cute, I just had to try them! I used cheap chocolate frosting from the store, which was very creamy. The frosting never hardened, so the acorns were very fragile. Home-made frosting might work better.
I’m on a real peanut butter kick, so I used peanut butter for the acorn in the front. Of course, it didn’t harden, either. But it sure tasted good! If you plan to eat them immediately, it doesn’t matter if they don’t stick together, right?
Well, have you found your acorn inspiration yet?
I hope you have an extremely fun and blessed weekend!
I’m sharing at Metamorphosis Monday.
