Valentine’s Day is this Saturday. Heart month is commercialized and encourages us to rush out and buy cards, candy, flowers, and even jewelry. Valentine’s Day can be a lot of fun! But…it excludes the One who loves us most.
Today, let’s focus on the Lord’s love for you.
How does He love thee?
Let me count the ways…
…You are honored, and I love you. Isaiah 43:4 (NLT)
…I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love, I have drawn you to myself. Jeremiah 31:3 (NLT)
God tells us He loves us many times in the Bible. But, when we experience His love, that cements our security in Him.
Psalm 37:4-5 reveals God’s love and tells us how to experience His love through our everyday lives of following the Lord.
Take delight in the Lord,
and He will give you your heart’s desires.
Commit everything you do to the Lord.
Trust Him, and He will help you.
Oh, how He loves you,
Oh, how He loves me,
Oh, how He loves you and me!
For as long as we live, we can never count all the ways.
The most important way He showed us His love – the way that mattered most – was sending His Son, Jesus, as our sacrifice for sin.
But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. Romans 5:8 (NLT)
His love is unconditional…the purest of all. Oh, how He loves you and me!
Blessings for a spectacular Sunday~
