Does the thought of feet on the table seem gross to you?
A rocking chair, too…on the table?
Sometimes you want a little surprise. You want to think outside the box – or, maybe basket, in this case.
Shocking, I know…feet on the table. But, these are cute, clean feet. Bugs Bunny-ish, even.
What’s wrong with showing off these cuties? Don’t they remind you of Bugs Bunny?
Get creative with your table by pulling things from other parts of your home.
Non-traditional table decor, along with the traditional…like colored eggs, wrapped in ribbon for a little fun.
Remember to tuck things under.
And, more ribbon for color.
A cloth of spring flowers sets the base. This one came from my grandmother’s collection. No sense in getting something new when the old gives you so much pleasure!
The white plates are our everyday China, on good advice from PAM (Painter Artist Mom). She always had white plates to team up with different items throughout the year, always matching anything. Thanks, PAM. Great advice. Again.
The pink and green bunny dishes (Bordallo Pinneiro from Portugal) came from T. J. Maxx about ten years ago. If I ever see them again, I’ll be getting more.
Here’s the table pre-rocker. The cake plate stacked with plates and tea-pot were my first attempt to add height. The four green plates needed to be used for something.
Who has storage space for extra dishes for every occasion? These are the only “extras” I’ve bought. They were such a bargain and I fell in love with the bunnies, so I had a moment of
indulgence. Not even Christmas China has pulled at my heart strings enough to carve out storage space for them. I love bunnies (sigh).
My family thought I was crazy with the large lettuce leaves as place-mats. Found those a long time ago, too. They were a great investment since we use them every year, Spring through Summer.
The cake plate was a long-ago purchase, as well. See? White is such a great basic. This can be used year-round, just change the ribbon color with the seasons.
Don’t you love stuff that’s different? Unique, like we are. This week, I’ll share the bunny-ear-napkin-trick. Well, it’s not really a trick.
Tricks are for kids, right? It’s just some quick folding.
Are you looking forward to this week? Easter is the most special time of year for Christians – our risen Savior, the celebration of Him, the basis of our faith. Christ redeemed us through His death and resurrection. That’s why it’s special – because of His most precious gift.
Happy Easter week, y’all!
