It looks like we’ve jumped ahead to Easter. No offense AT ALL to you Irish readers, but I may have to skip St. Patrick’s Day tablescapes this year. Easter is very early!
HH and I visited PAM (Painter Artist Mom) and HBD (Handy Builder Dad) late last week. It was a quick visit, but PAM and I worked two tablescapes into our visit. 🙂
Do you remember last year when I set the Peek Into Spring table at their house just before PAM returned from getting her second (and final!) shiny new hip? The dishes from that tablescape are in the cabinet behind the table. I love the fully decorated table with the glass cabinet backdrop!
Funny, that table was February 12th last year. Exactly one year later, on February 12th, 2016, PAM and I set today’s table.
I forgot that I’d used the leaf place mats last year, but I also brought my grandmother’s table square. It’s one of my favorites – such happy colors.
I love pink and red combined in the flowers, and I think the red and white napkins are the perfect pop of red with the white dishes and bunnies.
Last year’s table had the tea-pot napkin rings…
and the lotus salad plates, as well. I’d forgotten so much about that table.
PAM and I have the same everyday stainless pattern. We’d planned to share for large gatherings, but we live too far apart for that now.
I love this shot of the pink artificial flowers. They are very nice quality.
The entire arrangement is unique and interesting.
PAM bought the white dinner plates, along with salads, desserts, cereal and dessert bowls years and years ago at Pier One. I remember wondering why she needed so many of each. Now I know. Through all these 40 plus years, we’ve used the fool out of them!
The dishes haven’t aged at all.
This is my favorite of the two bunnies.
On the back side of the basket, we added these bunnies, too. I always like having a nice view on all sides of the center collection.
Just before tearing down the tablescape, I found this Beatrix Potter tea set.
PAM commented that it brought Alice in Wonderland to mind.
No Alice here, but it is a wonderland…tilt!
Just for fun, PAM wanted to see this red salad plate in the stack. Pretty, but I liked the all-white better for this table.
We used the red salads in the next tablescape (Breakfast Room Table of Elegance). Stay tuned for next week’s table…an elegant antique table setting.
I also took pictures of PAM and HBD’s kitchen and dining room to share with you (Come Along for PAM’s Kitchen and Dining Tour). They did some minor kitchen renovations recently, and I am in L-O-V-E with their new back splash. I can hardly wait for you to see it!
See you Friday! 🙂
I’m sharing at Tablescape Thursday.
