I don’t usually post twice in one day, but today I fixed something oh-so-simple and healthy for lunch. Just have to share it with y’all, ’cause it is so good!
Recently, I learned that a friend makes cabbage slaw by using Ranch Dressing and seasons it further by sprinkling Tony Chachere’s Creole Seasoning on it. Tuesday evening, I picked up some healthy broccoli slaw mix at the local Grocer, on sale for 50 cents a pack.
Wowzer! Who could pass that up?
Experiment time hit about noon today, and this non-Julia decided to enter the no-recipe-zone.
It’s scary, I know. (HH would agree.) But, we both liked it, so I snapped a picture of the slaw and ingredients so I could quickly share this recipe with you.
- 12-ounce package broccoli slaw
- ¼ cup Ranch dressing
- ¼ teaspoon Tony Cachere's Creole Seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Blend all ingredients together in a medium-sized bowl, and it's ready to go!
Let me expand upon the ‘we liked it’. I liked it. HH ate it, without complaint (or comment of any kind), even though he dislikes cooked broccoli and most green veggies in general. So, I say he likes it since he didn’t say otherwise. 😉
If you decide to try this, I hope you like it. As for me, I’m adding it to my list in the “Yum” category.
