Tablescape in Blues

As a child, I gazed through the curved glass of the china cabinet.

All About the Blues Tablescape

The blue china was not to be touched.

Place Setting

We could only look at it.  With its matching flower-adorned silver, we never used it.

Matching Silverware

But, it was beautiful to look at.

Cup and Saucer

My parents, as newlyweds, registered the pattern at the local jewelry and china shop.

Were there visions of entertaining?

Beautiful blues, great choice by your parents. I would love to have them on my table. Beautiful centerpiece too.

Love this tablescape. I actually just inherited a blue china pattern from my great aunt and we put it in the cabinets last weekend. I can’t wait to get it out for a party! Also the flowers are gorgeous and one of my favorites. Beautiful!

Well, it’s very old – from the late 50s/early 60s. I have thought about looking on line for some additional pieces needed for a full 8 place settings. If I find it, I’ll give the detailed info in a later post. 🙂

Yes!!! Thanks, Diane. Also, Spunky Daughter loves the pattern, so I’m working on finding replacement pieces on Ebay to complete a set of 8 for her. She is very excited about it. Of course, at 17, she’ll have to wait a bit. 🙂
