I’m so excited to finally reveal today’s acorn pillow. I designed the sweater pillow cover for two guest post tutorials over at PillowCubes, my favorite pillow insert source.
I love how this little coloring book acorn turned out, and with the family quote and the tassel stem, I can get past the orange color among all the deep red tones in my home.
Last Monday, I shared the tutorial published at PillowCubes for making this pillow from a thrifted sweater. Notice the cable stitching on this side of the pillow. This is actually the back, so after adding the applique on the other side, you have two pretty sides.
When fall is over, I’ll simply remove the pillow insert and use it inside a Christmas pillow cover. I’ll be sharing that pillow, as well, over at PillowCubes next month, so subscribe for email posts here, and I’ll notify y’all when that post goes live.
Pillow covers are so quick and easy to make. Have a different look for every season with only one pillow!
I’m excited about the acorn fun we’ll have this week. You don’t want to miss the excitement! 🙂
