We don’t travel in a travel trailer for camping, but it looks like so much fun!
You may know by now that HH and I travel by motorcycle (and sleep in hotels/motels rather than in a camp sight). Our weather is still too warm to be outdoors as much as we like in fall. Last week, I was dreaming of fishing and camping in style (ahem, through a tablescape and not dreaming as in wishing for real – wink). Let’s not give HH the wrong idea. I’m a non-camping girl!
Do you remember when I made this two-sided vintage travel trailer door decoration last Christmas?
It was used again in a tablescape (Travel Trailer in Snow at Christmas) with these home-made trees (which I nearly used for this table today). I opted for leafy decor so I could sprinkle a few colored leaves. Hence, the sunflower yellow and green plates.
We see a few colored leaves in our landscape, but no real coloring yet. I’ll bet it’s getting colorful in Michigan, though! 🙂
A friend knew just what I’d want when she ordered this cookie jar!
It gives me a chuckle and a sense of adventure every time I see (and get cookies from) this fun cookie container. (Wink again!)
Ginger cookies, anyone? Ha!
Bees have been driving us crazy on the porches this year. HH and I are sick of being on a porch, minding our own business, and suddenly a bee is on us, stinging it’s heart out! Ugh!
We’ve sprayed nest after nest, and they keep returning. My table cloth today is showing friendlier bugs that we like to welcome to our table.
This Speckled Wood Butterfly was ready to make friends with my table cloth butterflies!
Months ago, I quickly cut out these napkins from vintage travel trailer fabric using pinking sheers. At some point, I plan to stitch around the edges.
The stick plastic silverware goes well with the rattan chargers. With camping, we need that rustic, outdoors-y look, right?
I included tea lights inside these mini lantern candle holders at each place setting.
When camping, we all hope the fish are biting – because it’s fish for dinner!
Do you like to camp? I’m curious. Do you sleep in a tent, or in a travel trailer?
I’m sharing this table at Tablescape Thursday.
